WELL IT LOOKS A LOT DIFFERENT INCLUDING THE INSTALL OF A 1920 CAST IRON/ENAMEL SINK WHICH WAS MOUNTED ON A COUNTRY STYLE,FORMER ENTERTAINMENT UNIT AND THE INSTALL OF CORK TILES TO FLOOR
NOTE THAT THE FAUCET IS LOCATED TO THE SIDE SO IT DOESN’T BLOCK THE WINDOW OPENING AND IT MEANS HE WATER CAN FLOW INTO THE SINK OR SWIVEL TO FILL A POT ON THE SIDE OF THE SINK–SAVES LIFTING IN/OUT OF SINK OF HEAVY POTS.

They plan to buy a new cabinet
The best way I have found is to put on new cabinet faces. This sounds daunting but it is easy. Go to www.refacedepot.com. They will show you how to measure and order and install. Then you can either just paint the new doors and frames of the existing cabinets to match or they will send stick on wood grain to match wood grain doors if this is what you order. Good Luck.

Hi there, ruby quartz worktop, is also available in Compac Composite Quartz. The official agents for my area are Granite Care Ltd. www.granite-care.co.uk but i think they work all over the UK.

for a reasonably (to very) nice kitchen renovation (new appliances, counter tops, cabinets, etc), how much is it going to cost? And what percentage should be spent on what?
EDIT: No, I’m not doing this by myself. I’m not exactly someone you’d call "handy". I just don’t want to be ripped off by the design consultant and his contractor.

Most kitchen renovations will cost approx $20,000 to $30,000 but can be done cheaper if you shop right and do a lot of the labor yourself. I am sorry I don’t have a percentage on what should be spent but go check out websites like hgtv.com or diynetwork.com. They can give some helpful hints and solutions.

I’m trying to sell my house….should I remove all the 60’s pale yellow tile on the floor and yellow sink….or just play it up and make a cute bathroom with the yellow fixtures? Any design ideas? It’s the small 1 in x 1 in tiles on the floor alternating between yellow and white…and the sink is yellow, and tub is yellow. I would rather not rip it all out…for lack of time to do the project, but need some design ideas to make it at least look cute! THANKS!

While ripping it out and replacing it is going to give you more bang for your buck when selling the home, this can be costly and timely. If you do decided on redecorating instead, I would suggest to clean it the best that it can be cleaned then try and enhance the look of the bathroom by using the yellow to your advantage, the proper blue works nicely with yellow. If done right it will give the room a bright sunny type of feeling. Hope it all works out for you. good luck selling a home in this market, you are brave lol.
